Believe in Yourself!

Welcome everyone!  I am so happy to be teaching here at Southwest Preparatory School- Southeast Campus, Home of the Warriors.  I will be teaching the 6th grade through 8th grade Reading and Writing classes.  

 

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi.  I have been teaching for over 16 years.  I have two sons, one attending Northwest Vista College and one in high school.  I have five dogs in my family, but two of them are my sons', so I try to say I only have three dogs.  I am the oldest child with five siblings and have lived in many south Texas small towns.  

 

I am so excited to be working with you all to collaborate and create a classroom that is helping all of our students to learn not only about reading and writing, but more importantly, themselves.  I love helping our students to learn skills everyday that can help them to be more successful in any classroom they enter, but especially, to build the skills they will need to be successful in life.
