My Bio.

Hello Eagle Family!

My name is Mr. Garza.  I am so excited to be the Middle School Social Studies teacher (6th grade World Geography; 7th grade Texas History; 8th grade US History to 1877).  I am bringing to SW Prep-Seguin an abundance of teaching experience (34 yrs) in numerous educational disciplines here in Texas and Oklahoma.

I was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas where I graduated from Tivy High School.  While at Tivy, I was a captain and all-district selection in both football and baseball.  I also was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Key Club (business).

During my college years, I attended Texas A&I University where I played football for the national champions.  I finished my college education at Schreiner University receiving my bachelor’s degree while also helping pioneer the university’s 1st college football program.

My wife (Terri) and I celebrated 33 wonderful years of marriage this past July, and we reside in beautiful New Braunfels, Texas.  We have 3 amazing children and 7 fantastic grandchildren.

I am extremely blessed to help bring in the 2024 - 2025 school year with SW Prep’s amazing staff and students!
