Hello!

Howdy! My name is Ms. Garcia and I am so excited to have your student in my class room this year. This is my second year teaching English at the high school level, but I have also taught writing skills at the middle school level throughout my first year teaching. I received by Bachelor's degree in English from THE Texas A&M University (Gig 'em Ags!) specializing in professional and technical writing along with creative writing. I have always had a passion for reading and writing since my early days in school. With this passion I plan on showing your student the appreciation that comes with the written word and how stories have the power to influence and change perspectives even in this modern day full of technology. 

 

I urge your student to be open to all that my class has to offer and to participate to the fullest. There will be open discussions, debates, creative freedom, and most of all FUN!! I also emphasize for your student to ask questions, whether during class or in private, if they feel they need extra instruction on any topic we've covered.
