Why I Teach
I teach to help guide our future generations. I teach to help students know they are not a product of their circumstances based on the challenges they have been through, but that they are the product of their reactions to those circumstances and challenges. Choices in life are made with a mindset - the goal is to teach students how not to have a negative fixed mindset but always see possibility through a positive growth mindset.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal is to bring an open mind, positive attitude, and high expectations to the classroom each day. I believe that I owe it to my students, as well as the community, to bring consistency, diligence, and warmth to my job in the hope that I can ultimately inspire and encourage such traits in the students as well.
INTERESTING FACT: I have been living with Multiple Sclerosis since 2017 and riding trikes 100+ miles in MS bike rides to find a cure.
