Welcome to 2nd and 3rd Grade English and Social Studies!

Welcome to our class.  I am Mrs. Flores.  This is my 7th year teaching at SWPrep and my 12th year teaching. I recieved my Bachlelor's of Science Degree in Interdisplinary Studies from Texas A&M University in San Antonio.  I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 4th grade.  I am also certified in English as a second language and am Gifted and Talented trained.  I have 3 beautiful, wonderful mini schnauzers named Bella, Esmee, and Jasper.  I love spending time with my family, puppies, and friends relaxing, watching movies and/or reading.

 

Why I Teach

I teach because I love working with children.  As a child, I loved school and teachers had a huge impact on my life and I want to impact children the same way. 

My Educational Philosophy

My goal is to foster a love for learning in each one of my students, so that they may become lifelong learners.  Each child possesses the ability to learn, but not at the same time, the same way or at the same pace. As the educator in the classroom, it is my responsibility to find the best way for each child to learn and create a classroom environment that allows each student to excel.
