Sandi Mitchell

Thank you for stopping by my page to learn a little about me.

Southwest Preparatory School holds a special place in my heart, as my introduction to the school and its leadership was divinely guided. I feel blessed to be a part of a team of passionate and devoted educators, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to their impactful work. In the field of education, success is not just a product of hard work but also of genuine "heart" work. Witnessing our dedicated teachers and staff consistently go above and beyond, supporting students in every aspect of their lives—academically, personally, socially, and emotionally—inspires me daily. As the Director of Communication, Community Relations, and Partnerships, I take immense pride in playing a role that allows me to facilitate connections and contribute to the holistic success of our students.

I was born and raised in the Music City, Nashville, Tennessee. I received a Bachelor's in Communications with an emphasis in Theatre Arts and performance from Belmont University. Serving as the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the San Antonio affiliate of the National Christian Youth Theater for over five years, I had the honor of contributing to the nurturing and development of young talents.

I am married to my best friend, Scott, and together we have raised three incredible children. I love singing jazz with my husband in our Jazz group, Choo-Cha Booch, producing our podcast, Bible Mysteries, and spending time with my family.

Contact me if you are a community member/organization wanting to build a partnership or support education at SWPrep!
